“XOXO Gossip Girl…”

First it was Chuck, then OTH and now Gossip Girl has come to an end. Monday night, the series said goodbye with no disappointment, even with some last-minute bombshells, just the way GG knows to. It was time for the show to end but after 6 seasons of gossip, drama, secrets, betrayal, tears, romance…it’s sad to let it go. It was a flawless ending to this story and it’s safe to say we feel satisfied with it.

Once again, with no doubt, Alexandra Patsavas and her staff at Chop Shop have done an outstanding job and made sure this finale had the ideal music to it. We’ve listened to their choices throughout the whole show and not once have failed.

The following songs are featured on the last episode and are just an example of the greatness on a good and powerful soundtrack, a representation of a job well done and the statement that music matters…

“They’re playing good music”

It’s time for a classic hit from the 80’s, recently used on the outstanding film ‘Perks of Being a Wallflower’, which I highly recommend.

The following single, released by English pop band Dexys Midnight Runners, won Best British single at the Brit Awards. This and ‘Geno’, became their most succesful songs, hitting number one on the UK charts…

Everybody Talks with Neon Trees…

They’re an American band from Utah, especially known for their worldwide hit single ‘Animal’. They’ve opened for bands like The Killers, Panic! At The Disco, Duran Duran and many more.

The following song is the lead single to their second studio album ‘Picture Show’ and has reached number 6 on the Billboard Hot 100 so far…

What about the Midnight City…

They were formed on 2001 and got their name from spiral galaxy Messier 83. They’re a French electronic band with six studio albums who throughout the years, has been experimenting with different genres and getting into some 90’s Shoegazing...

“An excellent offering”

She’s a 33-year-old singer-songwriter from New Zealand who started her solo career on 2008. In just 4 years, she has managed to win several awards and make her way through the music world with such succesful singles like ‘Paris is Burning’ and ‘My Delirium’.

With the release of her second album ‘Anxiety’ earlier this year, I present to you the wonderful and awesome Pip Brown, better known as Ladyhawke…

Mood for sappiness…

Tonight, for those who are a bit mushy and just want to chill, stay at home and put on a good movie, with the box of tissues right beside you of course, here is the perfect song with Canadian singer Emily Haines & The Soft Skeleton…

“And don’t it feel good”

Such a good vibe this song. It has everything to make you dance, smile and forget about any worries, sadness or problems you may have. Being this band’s first U.S top 40 hit, this 80’s song was, is and will be a great song to remember.

Got to love Florence…

I’ve already done a post about them before but I just wanna share my loop song of the day, cause they’re so great, anytime I listen to their music it’s like hearing them for the first time and the words original and awesome come into mind.

I know you love her too, so make this your loop song of the day or even the week, there’s always time for Florence…
