Show me some music Miss Li…

I know I haven’t posted in a while, but today I’m back with a good one. She is a Swedish singer-songwriter from Borlänge. Since 2006, her music has been featured in many popular shows and commercials, making her a well renowned artist. Together with the band, she has toured all over the place, with that mixture of jazz-pop we like and hope listening to for a long time…

“The Mediocrity of Perfection”

The following Mexican singer-songwriter, started out in 2008 with the release of her first album ‘Mediocre’, soon nominated for many awards including the Latin Grammy Awards among them.

After such success, producers and herself, decided to make a second album which would contain ten songs from the thirty-five she wrote.

This song was the first single from the latest album…

“Hawk” in Yoruba…

Asa, is a 30-year-old Nigerian-French singer-songwriter who was inspired by well-known artists such as Marvin Gaye or Bob Marley. She has two albums in which she fuses various genres like R&B, pop, soul or reggae, resulting in a perfect blend…

Quite upbeat…

Do you guys remember 80’s film ‘Beverly Hills Cop with Eddie Murphy’? Well, the following song performed by American R&B band The Pointer Sisters, was featured on the second part…

Chill out with Sia…

Apart from being a good show, it seems Rookie Blue also has a great soundtrack. Thanks to it, I’ve been listening to Sia lately, and today, I’m bringing you another one of her songs, but don’t worry, not so slow this time…

May I say Sade…

After a few days, I’m back with a voice from the 80’s. Originally born in Nigeria, this British singer-songwriter, became the frontwoman and lead vocalist in the well-known Grammy Award winning band Sade.

Solo performances of ‘Smooth Operator’,  drew attention to record companies, being Epic Records the one which finally closed the deal.

With two of her most popular and acclaimed songs, here she is, one of the most succesful solo female artists in British history, Helena Folasade Adu, better known as Sade…

“Music expresses that which cannot be said and on which it is impossible to be silent”

Where to choose from all the amazing songs this English singer-songwriter has done over the years. He started out as a drummer in Genesis and later on became the lead singer after Peter Gabriel’s departure.

He’s been known since and has become one of the best male solo artists in the world. The 80’s were the best years as he had more top hits on the Billboard charts than any other artist. Due to health problems, on 2011 he sang for the last time.

What can I say, it is a real pity I’ve missed such an incredible artist on stage. And for those you lucky ones who had the possibility, I hope you really appreciate it…

Such a classic…

Oh boy their music always puts me in a good mood and makes me wanna dance!

Who doesn’t remember or hasn’t heard of this groovy 70’s band? Cause you’re missing a hell of a lot so stop whatever you’re doing and check it out!

“Good music is timeless”

To some, this song remind them of Moulin Rouge, to others, of the 70’s and the amazing singer who wrote it and first sang it. No matter how many covers there are, no matter how many years go by,  this first one is worth remembering…
