Music for everyone

Month

February 2012

Someone once said: “Were it not for music, we might in these days say, the Beautiful is dead”

I’m sure everyone has listened to the following song at some point in their lives. We’ve heard it from Elvis Presley, UB40, Bob Dylan and so many more brilliant artists, and always thought, “what a beautiful song”. But recently, I was reminded of this cover I heard a couple of years ago and just fell in love with it inmediately.

No matter how many years have gone by, it still is as heartfelt as it was, and Ingrid Michaelson, has put a feeling into it that makes it even more breathtaking and soulful.

Forty years, many artists, but for me, this is THE one…

Leslie Feist everybody!

Well, it’s been a few days but today I bring to you more music with Feist’s “Graveyard” from her new album Metals.

Hope you like it as much as I do…

The Last Vegas making their way…

The other day, I went to see a band I had never heard of and let me just say, it was awesome! They’re a hard rock/metal band from Chicago touring right now through Spain, and last Tuesday, Madrid had its turn. They’re not yet very famous around here but I’m sure everyone will start hearing about them pretty soon.

They have an incredible chemistry and presence on stage, which makes them really succesful and powerful. Mötley Crüe’s Nikki Sixx talks about them with such respect and support and having a musician so experienced like that talking about your band in that way, is a real honor…

Just the perfect fit…

I remember listening to this song for the first time on the show One Tree Hill 9 years ago and actually getting goosebumps. I mean, I was already liking the show and to hear this song as the theme, killed me (in a good way of course). I was sure from that moment on that OTH would have an amazing soundtrack and would never dissapoint.

I was right…

Hallelujah is the word…

No matter how many songs you get to know or how many you get to play, there’s just some which will always be in our minds, coming back from time to time and reminding you why you love music this much.

Billy Joel once said: ” I think music in itself is healing. It’s an explosive expression of humanity. It’s something we are all touched by. No matter what culture we’re from, everyone loves music “

Well, The OC brought me this song, and now it’s time I bring it to you…

A healthy addiction…

I’ve known this song for a while now but some way or another, it keeps coming back and everytime I listen to it, I just like it more and more. So tonight, once again, i’m listening to it for the hundredth time and thought of sharing it with you guys…
